neil van niekerk workshops!

NvN-logo-web.jpg
flash photography workshops

Neil van Niekerk has received much praise for the website that he maintains … www.planetneil.com/tangents/

It is an educational resource for photographers that has been described by Rangefinder magazine as: “an unsual and informative website dedicated to digital imaging.”  These articles on the website range over068.JPG a wide range of topics such as flash photography and lighting, exposure techniques, digital workflow and other aspects of digital photography.

Neil also presents workshops on flash photography techniques. The intention with these workshops is to help other photographers grasp whichever aspects had been elusive up until then – whether it is a technique, or bit of theory – and then have things suddenly fall into place. My approach is to teach other photographers how to achieve what they want to do.  And what I am trying for, are for a few “aaaah, NOW I get it!” moments.

He is presenting two workshops in California next week:

Dana Point, CA – March 17, (Tue)

San Francisco, CA – March 20, (Fri)

More details about

the workshops can be found here:

ProDPI-Logo-MASTER-Black.gif We are proud to announce that ProDPI will be a sponsor of the workshops this year. Everyone who attends one of the flash photography workshops will get a $50 voucher towards prints at ProDPI.

Why I love ProDPI : Philip Gabriel

How do I love thee, sweet ProDPI? Let me count the ways…

Oh value, value, where art thou, value? Hey, when you put together everything ProDPI offers, along with top-notch customer service, you’re getting the most bang for your buck in any kingdom.

The lady doth protest too much! I don’t care how picky you are or how fast you need it done, the folks at ProDPI get it done right and get it to your castle, ah, studio, in record time and with a smile on their face.

All the world’s a stage! Yea, and there’s lots of labs out there but you dost need one that stands behind their work 100% and still treats customers like they’re numero uno.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark. Who cares?! Everything’s fine on this end with ProDPI handling all our printing needs.

Friends, photographers and countrymen lend me your ears…If you’re as busy as we are with dates and deadlines all over the place, the bottom line is, ProDPI saves me time and money. Enough said in any language.

Parting is such sweet sorrow.

Best……….Gabe

Why I love ProDPI : Wayne Yuan Photography

Hi ProDPI,

I love ProDPI for many reasons, but I will write the reasons why I chose ProDPI versus all the other vendors.

Fuji Pearl Paper – I LOVE this paper for any large portraits that I print for my clients because it stands out and makes the image pop. Also, I use this paper for my albums because it does not have the problems that Kodak metallic paper has like pages sticking together, ugly discoloration in between the folds, and easily being scratched.

Full Album Spread Prints – No more cutting in between my spreads. My Fuji prints are always folded without having the discoloration that Kodak Endura paper. I do not have to go through matching up my prints, and there is no gutter in between the pages.

Press-Printed Paper Options – I LOVE that ProDPI is environmentally friendly. There are so many paper options that allow my products to stand out from “normal” looking papers.

Customer Service – I have called customer service for several issues with my shipments. They were able to fix my problems so I can deliver quality products to my clients.

Thanks,
Wayne

Why I love ProDPI : Christan P

Photography starts with an artist and a camera, it ends with skill and a physical print.

My wife and I have lost ourselves in the art of photography. Our eyes have been opened to new life and we have been given new sight. We no longer avoid the seemingly ordinary, we lose ourselves in it, maybe we even manipulate it. We capture a moment and we savor it tasting every last morsel however, we cannot recall the taste without the picture to look back on. The world we all live in is trapped in an electronic box. We stare at screens and trust that what they show us IS as beautiful as it gets. Perhaps it was, but once we found ProDPI, we realized it wasn’t. To capture a moment and to save it is one thing, to have it and to hold it is another. ProDPI took our art to a whole new level. They took us away from electronics and into tangible. Through ProDPI we now have complete art. ProDPI, you complete us!

Why I love ProDPI : Kathy Ziegler

I love that there is a person to talk to at ProDPI when you call! I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to technology & they have been so good about making sure I know how to do what they need. All hail to the vendors that answer their phones or even have a phone number for clients rather than just email!!!!! And then there’s the pricing & quick delivery.
