I hope you are all doing well! We wanted to share with our DWF family some of the things that are going on in our lives away from the lab.
My cousin and ProDPI employee, Allie would like the share the following:

John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens while you’re busy making plans”.
While my family was making plans for this summer and the time after, my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of 52. Pancreatic cancer is one of the cancers that sneaks up on you and is very difficult to treat.
He has always had a passion for running. Ever since I took up the sport in high school, he has been my coach throughout my athletic career, teaching me valuable lessons that I will take with me forever.
All he has ever wanted to do was improve the life of those around him and his athletes. From the kind words of encouragement from his athletes and colleagues, both my mom and I can know that he has made a huge impact on everyones life.
There’s no better way to honor his passion by running in this race and helping to raise money for research to give others hope for a cure.
Please join me in this tribute to my dad.

We are taking part in the L.A. Cancer Challenge 2008 to raise money for the Hirchberg Foundation an organization for Pancreatic Cancer research. If you would like to donate toward this cause, please follow the link below.
We appreciate all that you have done for us, and hope for your support and prayers for my uncle Randy.
